1,116-Pound Bluefin Sets New Hampshire Record

Brandon McGirl and Capt. Jamie Savage caught a 1,116-pound Atlantic bluefin tuna during an overnight charter off New Hampshire, setting a state record. The fish surpassed the previous record—a 962-pound tuna caught in 2013—by 154 pounds. After bringing the catch to Rye Harbor, the pair sent the tuna to market, while its tail will remain as a trophy.
