Aehr Secures $6 Million AI Processor Burn-In Orders
Aehr Test Systems received about $6 million in follow-on orders from an unnamed hyperscale customer for equipment and software to burn in and test its next-generation AI processor. The systems will be deployed at a semiconductor assembly and test partner in Taiwan over the next six months, expanding capacity ahead of an expected 2027 production ramp; the customer expects this second processor to ultimately exceed the production volume of its first processor using Aehr’s Sonoma platform. Aehr says Sonoma’s independently controlled thermal zones support the demanding package-level testing requirements, and it is discussing burn-in needs for future AI processors with the customer.
