Amarillo Festival Plans 62-Film Showcase
The Amarillo International Film Festival runs Oct. 8–10 at Arts in the Sunset, presenting 62 independent films over two and a half days. The program includes themed nightly screenings, an opening reception, opportunities to meet filmmakers and a new filmmakers’ barbecue. Films come from abroad and across the United States, including seven from Amarillo, and compete for awards in feature, short, student and animation categories, as well as audience-choice honors. Organizers are offering $10 single-feature tickets alongside day and weekend passes to make the festival accessible to newcomers.
