Anta Completes €1.5B Puma Deal, Becomes Largest Shareholder

Anta Sports has completed its €1.5055 billion purchase of a 29.06% stake in Puma from Artémis, the Pinault family’s investment company, becoming the German sportswear maker’s largest shareholder. Anta described the investment as a long-term strategic partnership to support its international expansion and said it will respect Puma’s brand identity, independent governance and operating autonomy. Puma will remain independently managed, and Anta says it has no plans to make a takeover offer; it may seek representation on Puma’s supervisory board.
