Arizona QB Fifita Faces NFL Draft Size Concerns
Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita is putting up strong numbers and drawing praise for his accuracy, decision-making and ability to complete deep throws, but his 5-foot-10 frame remains a major obstacle to his NFL prospects; draft analyst Justin Melo sees him as a likely undrafted free agent who could earn a training-camp opportunity. Fifita has thrown for 1,415 yards, 13 touchdowns and three interceptions this season, while Arizona coach Seth Doege says he is confident Fifita can make and keep an NFL roster spot. Fifita and the Wildcats next face West Virginia, whose defense has struggled in Big 12 play; the Mountaineers’ coaches regard him as one of college football’s best quarterbacks.
