Arkansas State Names McLean Permanent Provost

Arkansas State University has permanently appointed Dr. William McLean as provost and executive vice chancellor after he served in the interim role since July. A first-generation college graduate and two-time A-State alumnus, McLean has spent more than two decades at the university as a professor and administrator, including leading its political science department and overseeing the growth of its online Master of Public Administration program. Chancellor Calvin White Jr. praised McLean as a trusted colleague and consensus builder, while McLean said he was honored to take on the role.
