BETR Faces Shareholder Class Action Lawsuit

Better Home & Finance faces a securities class action on behalf of investors who bought its shares from March 13 through May 7, 2026, with a lead-plaintiff deadline of November 20. The complaint alleges the company and its executives overstated its prospects by reaffirming a goal of reaching $1 billion in monthly loan volume by the end of May while its conversion funnel was already slowing amid macroeconomic pressures. On May 7, the company said the target would be deferred and reported lower-than-expected results and guidance; its shares fell more than 28% that day. The allegations have not been established in court.
