Big Brother Star Amber Siyavus Dies at 46

Amber Siyavus died Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, at age 46. The Clark County, Nevada Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner listed the cause and manner of death as pending. Siyavus finished seventh on CBS's Big Brother season 8 in 2007. Introduced as a cocktail waitress from Las Vegas, she later worked at the MGM Grand and was nicknamed Whamber for emotional moments on the show. She bonded with Jameka Cameron and Dustin Erikstrup and was the only cast member that season to reach the jury without winning HOH or POV. Dick Donato won the season. Host Julie Chen Moonves posted an Instagram tribute with a throwback video and wrote, "Rest in Peace Amber. Hard to believe but I know you are back in our eternal home with our Creator. Thank you for your heart and honesty. We will remember you with love." Dick Donato posted on X, "This is a shame..." He wrote that he last contacted her just out of rehab for heroin to encourage her to stay clean and had not spoken since just after the show. He added, "My guess is she OD'd RIP Amber your battle is over Sigh." Official cause and manner remain pending.
