Build-A-Bear plans stores in Ohio, West Virginia

Build-A-Bear Workshop plans to open a roughly 1,500-square-foot store at Huntington Mall in Barboursville, West Virginia, by mid-summer 2027, near Center Court and Reed’s Jewelers. Customers will be able to create and personalize stuffed animals, and mall representatives say leasing staff worked for months to bring the retailer to Huntington after it had already decided to close its Charleston location. Separately, Build-A-Bear is preparing a new store at Tanger Outlets in Sunbury, Ohio, where it has begun hiring; no opening date has been announced.
