Meijer tops US convenience-store satisfaction rankings
Meijer topped the American Customer Satisfaction Index’s 2026 convenience-store rankings with a score of 82 out of 100, overtaking last year’s leader, Kwik Trip, and besting Buc-ee’s, which scored 77. The Midwest retailer’s Meijer Express locations and cross-store mPerks rewards program were cited as strengths; QuikTrip, Sheetz and Wawa tied for second nationally at 80. Regional leaders included Sheetz in the Midwest, Wawa in the South and Northeast, and Maverik and QuikTrip, tied in the West. Overall convenience-store satisfaction slipped 1% to 75, with customers giving weaker marks to mobile apps and store cleanliness, including bathrooms, while generally valuing locations, hours, checkout speed and food. The rankings drew on 9,475 customer surveys collected between October 2025 and September 2026.
