Candidates outline platforms across four states
In Harrison, Arkansas, Jason Watts is seeking the mayor’s office, emphasizing hands-on, service-oriented city leadership and drawing on his Christian faith and experience starting a business. Fellow Harrison mayoral candidate Mitch Magness points to years of civic involvement and says he would use his relationships to attract resources and address infrastructure needs, including water and sewer capacity. In Texas, Libertarian Pat Dixon is running for governor on a platform of reducing government oversight, protecting property rights, and expanding individual liberty. Flint City Council candidate Ramie Yelle, a Navy veteran and public-health graduate who works as a massage therapist and acupuncturist, says his military and community experiences would inform his bid to represent the city’s 4th Ward. In Shreveport, Caddo Parish Commission President Stormy Gage-Watts is campaigning for mayor, focusing on neighborhood revitalization, youth opportunities, and civic equity.
