College Swimmers, Divers Earn Weekly Honors
Several collegiate swimming and diving athletes received conference weekly honors for their early-season performances. Duke junior Keira Lu was named ACC Women’s Diver of the Week after winning both springboard events against Davidson, with scores that met NCAA standards and ranked first nationally on the six-dive lists. Stanford senior Caroline Bricker earned ACC Women’s Swimmer of the Week after sweeping the 200-yard butterfly, individual medley and freestyle in a meet victory; her 200 IM time led the nation. The ACC also recognized California’s Ryan Erisman as Men’s Swimmer of the Week and SMU’s Luke Sitz as Men’s Diver of the Week. Southern Connecticut State’s Reegan Pasieka was named Northeast-10 Women’s Diver of the Week, while North Florida senior Ashley Kirby earned ASUN Swimmer of the Week after three podium finishes, including a personal-best win in the 50 breaststroke.
