Defending national champion Michigan opens its 2026–27 exhibition schedule Sunday against Eastern Michigan at Crisler Center, with tipoff set for 2 p.m. and a B1G+ stream. It is Mike Boynton Jr.’s first game as head coach at Crisler after two seasons on the staff, during which Michigan won the national title and multiple Big Ten championships. The Wolverines are coming off a 37–3 season capped by a 69–63 championship-game victory over UConn, and return key contributors Elliot Cadeau and Trey McKenney. Michigan will also need newcomers to help replace several high-profile departures, including three players selected in the NBA lottery.
