Communities are expanding pickleball access with free or low-cost facilities and equipment. In Mannering Park, a council grant helped fund two marked courts and shared equipment, with additional sets donated to the local public school. Melbourne says its recreation centers offer affordable indoor play and the city maintains 24 outdoor courts. Louisville has opened two courts in Shawnee Park as part of a $200,000 neighborhood investment, giving residents a closer place to play and connect.
