Community Festivals Feature Science, Arts Across Four Cities
Science and nature organizations are offering public events designed to make learning hands-on and accessible. The Mid-America Science Museum in Hot Springs is planning fall programming that includes Toothapalooza, with dental-health activities and free admission for the first 560 guests, plus a return of Homeschool Day. Trinity College Dublin’s PROBE festival features talks, workshops, experiments and performances, including activities introducing students to bird and badger research. In Abilene, the Wings on the Wind Science & Nature Festival will bring family activities to Abilene State Park, with the festival itself free and a vehicle fee for park entry.
