Dyne Reports One-Year DM1 Trial Improvements
Dyne Therapeutics reported one-year Phase 1/2 ACHIEVE trial results suggesting its investigational treatment z-basivarsen (DYNE-101) may improve multiple measures in people with myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1). In a pooled group of about 25–26 participants, video hand-opening time improved by 3.2 seconds at six months, while sit-to-stand and walk/run tests, strength measures and patient-reported outcomes also improved from baseline at 12 months; the company reported a favorable safety profile. The findings are exploratory, as participants received different dosing schedules, and Dyne said topline results from the registrational expansion cohort remain expected in early 2027, with a potential U.S. accelerated-approval submission later that year.
