EOS Plans 2027 Huntsville Counter-Drone Slinger Production

EOS Defense Systems USA plans to expand production at its Huntsville, Alabama, facility, with U.S. production of the next-generation Slinger counter-drone system expected to begin in 2027. The system is in the final stages of development and will add enhanced sensing and selectable autonomy, including autonomous kill-chain functions intended to respond to drone threats faster than conventional systems or human operators. Like the current model, it will be stabilized to engage targets while moving and designed to counter drones and ground threats from one weapon station without reconfiguration. EOS says Huntsville production will shorten supply chains, improve lead times and reduce costs for U.S. and allied customers.
