Evers appoints River Falls student UW regent

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers appointed Delani Dow, a UW-River Falls elementary education student, to a two-year term as the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents’ nontraditional student regent. Dow succeeds Desmond Adongo, whose term ended in May, and joins traditional student regent Noah Fritz as one of the board’s two student representatives. Dow, who is interested in special education, works as a home health aide and serves as a student mentor and senator with UW-River Falls’ Disability Resource Center. She also placed among the top three in a campus innovation challenge with a proposal for educational materials to help parents prevent youth self-harm.
