First Binghamton-area Chick-fil-A plans October 15 opening
Broome County’s first Chick-fil-A is scheduled to open Oct. 15 at 6:30 a.m. at 605 Harry L Drive in Johnson City, at Oakdale Commons. The restaurant will serve customers Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., with dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, delivery and catering, and expects to employ about 150 people. Opening-day guests wearing cow-print clothing can receive a free entrée; the restaurant also plans to donate $25,000 to Feeding America, a partner of the Foodbank of the Southern Tier. A second area location is under construction at Town Square Mall in Vestal and is expected to open in January 2027.
