Flint Water Settlement Claimants Face October Deadlines

Flint officials are urging people with otherwise approved Flint water crisis settlement claims to promptly submit any missing information required before payment can be issued. Claimants represented by an attorney generally have until Oct. 8, 2026, while those without an attorney have until Oct. 17; individual notices may specify different deadlines. Required items may include identification, a Social Security number, or signed forms. People who were minors when claims were filed should check whether they need to provide their own information, and residents—especially those who have moved—should review mail from the claims administrator and contact the person who handled their claim.
