Food Lion Plans Stores in Charlotte, Greenville

Food Lion is expanding its footprint with new stores in Charlotte and Greenville. The Charlotte location, opening Oct. 7 in the former Harris Teeter space at Mintworth Commons, will offer prepared meals, fresh foods, expanded organic and specialty selections, and pickup and delivery; the opening also includes a donation supporting local hunger relief. In Greenville, a 42,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open Oct. 21 at the former Bi-Lo site on North Pleasantburg Drive, vacant since 2021. Separately, Food Lion has added four varieties of Butcher’s Naturals beef and salmon jerky dog treats and sticks to its retail assortment.
