Girls in Aviation events span three cities
Girls in Aviation Day events in North Texas, West Virginia and the Philippines introduced young women to aviation and aerospace careers through hands-on activities, aircraft tours and conversations with industry professionals. In North Texas, hundreds of girls attended the annual event at Dallas Executive Airport, where organizers highlighted career pathways and noted that women make up fewer than 10% of licensed pilots, with even lower representation in maintenance. In Bridgeport, West Virginia, attendees explored a Black Hawk helicopter brought by an all-female Army National Guard crew, while speakers stressed the value of seeing women in aviation roles. In Manila, Cebu Pacific hosted 120 aspiring Filipina aviators at its training academy, offering a look at airline operations and opportunities to learn from female professionals.
