Goldman Executives Expected to Receive $500 Million Bonuses
Goldman Sachs is preparing more than $500 million in special stock awards for about 20 senior executives, with final amounts expected later this month. CEO David Solomon is set to receive more than $100 million, while President John Waldron and several business-unit leaders are also among the recipients. The awards stem from a compensation program introduced in 2021, with payouts tied to the bank’s share-price performance and its results relative to financial-sector peers over five years. Goldman outperformed most of those rivals during the period, helping drive the awards toward some of the largest in the firm’s history.
