Grace Helbig plans surgery for two brain tumors
Grace Helbig will undergo brain surgery Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, for two operable tumors found after leg numbness sent her to the emergency room. She announced it Monday, Oct. 12, in an Instagram and TikTok video, joking, "She missed me. My cancer missed me." Helbig, 41, was treated in 2023 for stage 2A triple-positive breast cancer with chemotherapy, a lumpectomy, radiation and hormone therapy and entered remission. "I'm getting a brain surgery on Wednesday, which is obviously a normal thing to say," she said. Doctors may follow with radiation or other steps still undecided. "I've asked the doctors. They said the positive attitude can't fix it, but it can help," Helbig added, saying she is "hyped up on steroids four times the dosage that they gave me before chemo, and that made me feel like I was gonna run through a wall." She and Mamrie Hart are postponing remaining 2026 tour dates to 2027 after Helbig canceled Canada stops four days earlier over the numbness. Hart commented in support; fans flooded the post. Her YouTube channel @itsGrace has over 2.6 million subscribers. Rated outlets agree on these points. No factual disputes appear in the coverage. Whether radiation or further treatment follows surgery remains open.
