Greyhound Relocates to Augusta Transit Hub
Augusta Transit has partnered with Flix North America, parent company of Greyhound and FlixBus, to bring intercity bus service to the city’s Transit Transfer Facility at 1546 Broad St. The five-year lease, approved by the Augusta Commission in August, gives the carriers ticketing and customer-service space, a boarding area and baggage storage, replacing their former stop on Wheeler Road. The downtown hub connects intercity passengers with Augusta Transit’s local bus routes, making transfers easier; service from the facility began Oct. 1. Routes from Augusta include destinations such as Atlanta, Charlotte, Charleston, Raleigh, Washington, D.C., and New York.
