Harry Styles honors Bronx ICE shooting victim
Harry Styles paused his Madison Square Garden show to honor Oscar Belgal, who was shot by ICE officers during an attempted arrest in New York while his 5-year-old son was in the car. Styles urged the audience to look after one another and said people deserve respect, love, dignity and justice, without directly discussing the shooting’s circumstances. Federal officials say Belgal drove toward officers and struck government vehicles; local officials and witnesses have questioned aspects of that account, prompting calls for further investigation. Belgal survived and is being held in federal detention, while his son was not physically injured.
