Housing Aid Available Across Three States
Spokane Housing Authority is distributing $500,000 in state-funded assistance to households displaced by wildfires in Spokane County since June 14. Eligible households must earn no more than 140% of the area’s median income, and people who are homeless or facing severe housing instability will receive priority. Aid can cover rent, utilities, deposits, transportation, household goods and other stabilization needs, including asbestos testing, but cannot pay for rebuilding or construction. Assistance is determined case by case and paid directly to vendors; residents can apply online or in person while funds remain available.
