Hyundai is positioning the next-generation Tucson as a larger, more upright compact SUV, with increases in length, width and height, a boxier design and a hybrid model targeted to deliver up to 42 mpg. In a Malaysian comparison with the Suzuki Jimny, the Tucson is presented as the more practical choice for everyday family use, offering five seats, a 582-liter cargo area and considerably more power for just RM900 more. The Jimny is much smaller and less powerful, but its part-time four-wheel drive and low-range gearing make it the better fit for buyers prioritizing off-road capability and maneuverability in tight spaces.
