Iowa State Men Finish Top 20 at Nuttycombe

Iowa State’s men’s and women’s cross-country teams returned from a three-week break to compete at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational in Madison, facing a nationally ranked field. The men finished 19th among 35 teams, while one Cyclone placed 67th individually; the men’s “B” team took third, aided by two top-10 finishes. Before the meet, Iowa State’s men were ranked No. 2 nationally and its women No. 5, following a Ray Griak Invitational where the men placed first and the women seventh. The Cyclones begin postseason competition at the Big 12 Championships in Stillwater on Oct. 31.
