Jaguars Sign Texans Practice-Squad Cornerback Alijah Huzzie
The Jacksonville Jaguars signed cornerback Alijah Huzzie off the Houston Texans’ practice squad and added him to their 53-man roster, bolstering a secondary dealing with injuries to Christian Braswell and Montaric Brown. Huzzie, an undrafted player who attended North Carolina, appeared in two games for Houston last season and has not played this season. Jacksonville also signed cornerback Jaylon Jones, who spent four seasons with the Chicago Bears. Houston is expected to add running back Deuce Vaughn to its practice squad after Noah Whittington suffered a season-ending quadriceps injury, and placed cornerback Jaylin Smith on injured reserve.
