Kane Brown Bar Faces $2.4M Suit
Kane Brown’s on Broadway, which took over Nashville’s former Valentine venue, is at the center of a lawsuit filed by the business’s former owners in Davidson County Chancery Court. Cusaboo Jr. Operating Company and Benjamin L. Shirah allege that The Elia Group and related companies failed to meet payment obligations stemming from the 2023 sale, including a $2 million promissory note and a separate consulting agreement. The plaintiffs say the parties later reached settlement and payment agreements, but that payments were not made. They are seeking about $2.4 million, including more than $2 million tied to the sale and roughly $366,000 related to consulting and settlement obligations, and want access to the defendants’ financial records. The allegations have not been proven in court.
