Michigan Students Set to Receive Free Prom Support

Becca’s Closet and Macy’s are covering prom tickets for juniors and seniors at Midland High School and H.H. Dow High School, with a $25,000 donation supporting the cost for roughly 1,100 students. The schools’ prom is scheduled for April 2027, and students will also have access to formalwear and other assistance. The nonprofit, founded by Rebecca Kirtman’s parents after she died in 2003, continues her effort to help young people attend formal events regardless of their families’ finances. Becca’s Closet is also providing free prom tickets and attire to students at Bay City Central High School, extending the initiative to another mid-Michigan community.
