Multiple Oregon regions face freeze, frost alerts

The National Weather Service has warned of a sharp weekend cold snap across parts of Oregon, with freeze warnings for Central Oregon and Wallowa County and frost advisories in the Portland-area foothills, Willamette Valley and Hood River Valley. Overnight temperatures could fall to around 30 degrees in Central Oregon and into the upper 20s in parts of Wallowa County, with colder readings possible in some locations by Monday. Frost and freezing conditions could damage or kill crops and other sensitive plants and harm exposed plumbing. Officials recommend bringing potted plants indoors, covering vulnerable vegetation and protecting exposed pipes.
