Naples Flooding Strands 22 Cars, Roads Clear

Heavy rain flooded downtown Naples, Florida, on Wednesday, leaving vehicles stranded; police received 26 reports of flooded vehicles, and 22 were towed. Towing companies reported recovering cars, while drivers began assessing damage that can include waterlogged engines and electrical systems and cost thousands of dollars to repair. Floodwater receded and roads reopened by Thursday, though additional rain again left cars navigating flooded streets near Sixth Avenue South and Ninth Street South.
