Syracuse is expected to start Malachi Nelson at quarterback against Virginia after Amari Odom was downgraded to doubtful and Steve Angeli was ruled out. Odom, who led Syracuse to a 42-41 overtime win over UConn with six total touchdowns, has been limited by shoulder soreness. Angeli is still working back from a torn Achilles. Nelson, a former highly rated recruit who has played at USC, Boise State and UTEP, is set to make his first start for Syracuse in the road ACC game.
