Nevada Approves $38 Million for 891 Housing Units
Nevada approved $38.16 million for 10 housing projects expected to support 891 homes and rental units statewide: 454 for-sale homes and 437 apartments. The funding, awarded through the Nevada Attainable Housing Account created by 2025’s AB 540 and backed by a $133 million General Fund appropriation, spans land acquisition, single-family and small-scale housing, and multifamily rentals. Applications sought nearly $120 million—about 3.1 times the amount initially available—and projects were selected based on readiness, geographic distribution, and ability to attract additional funding. The investment includes projects in Southern Nevada, Northern Nevada, and rural communities, with state officials saying it will expand housing options and leverage other public and private resources.
