No. 14 Virginia ends road drought, routs SMU

No. 14 Virginia women’s soccer ended its road scoring and winless drought with a 5-1 victory over SMU in Dallas. The Cavaliers came out aggressively, and Liv Rademaker opened the scoring with a left-footed finish off an Addison Halpern setup; Sophia Bradley added a goal as Virginia built a 2-0 lead. SMU pulled within one, but Virginia scored three times late, including after breaking forward when the Mustangs committed players to an attacking free kick. The win came after a heartbreaking road loss to Notre Dame and continued a demanding stretch of away games for the Cavaliers.
