Draisaitl and McDavid Score Late to Lift Oilers Past Kraken

Edmonton defeated Seattle 3-1 on Oct. 3, earning its second straight win. Bobby McMann tied the game in the second period before Leon Draisaitl scored the go-ahead goal late in the third, and Connor McDavid added an empty-netter; McDavid finished with a goal and an assist. A pregame preview had expected a high-scoring matchup, citing both teams’ early offensive output and Edmonton’s defensive struggles, but the game finished with only four goals.
