Penguins Reunite Crosby Line Against Blue Jackets

Pittsburgh visits Columbus on Oct. 9 looking to rebound from a 5-3 loss to Washington, in which a slow start and defensive breakdowns left the Penguins chasing the game. Bryan Rust returned from an upper-body injury and scored, while coach Dan Muse reunited him with Sidney Crosby and Rickard Rakell; newly acquired defenseman Spencer Stastney was held out as he acclimated to the team. Columbus, meanwhile, had been idle since a 4-1 loss to Utah and was also seeking a stronger performance after allowing the opening goal in each of its first two games. The teams met at Nationwide Arena, with the game scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
