Pizza restaurants close across several markets
Several pizza restaurants have recently closed, including individual locations in San Antonio, Fargo, and Lynn, England, as well as Pizza Napoli in Douglas on the Isle of Man. Cici’s confirmed its Northwest San Antonio buffet had shut but said it continues to operate three other locations in the city; it did not provide a reason for the closure. Red’s Savoy Pizza’s Fargo carryout-and-delivery franchise has also closed, while Lynn’s Pizza Hut shut after decades at its retail-park site. Separately, Bertucci’s has continued to shrink after multiple bankruptcies and now has 11 restaurants in Massachusetts, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Pizza Napoli, known for its online “stop the timer” free-pizza challenge, thanked customers after announcing its permanent closure.
