Public Meetings Address Park, Road Projects

Parks Canada and its partners are seeking community feedback on the proposed 444-hectare Ojibway National Urban Park at an open house in Windsor. In Morris, Illinois, the city council held a required public hearing on a proposed travel center near Route 6 and Brisbin Road; no residents spoke, and approvals remain pending. Middlebury and regional transportation officials will present alternatives for improving safety and pedestrian and bicycle access along Route 64 at an Oct. 15 public meeting. Columbia, Missouri, officials will present a proposed traffic-calming design for Highlands Parkway on Oct. 13 and accept public comments. San Luis Obispo County will hold an Oct. 15 workshop to share analysis and a draft project list for the Buckley Road Corridor Plan and gather community feedback.
