Pueblo Shooting Injures Two Officers, Kills Suspect

Two Pueblo police officers were injured and a suspect was killed after an exchange of gunfire at an apartment complex late Saturday. Officers responding to a reported home invasion pursued the suspect’s Dodge Ram; after abandoning the truck and running into an apartment, the suspect opened the door after officers identified themselves, and gunfire followed. One officer was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and no members of the public were reported injured. The 10th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team is investigating, and the involved officers were placed on administrative leave.
