PWHL teams release 2026-27 camp rosters as expansion nears
The PWHL’s 12 teams have released training-camp rosters for the 2026-27 season, giving players a chance to compete for contracts and fans an early look at potential lineups. Camps are set to begin Nov. 18, after the Women’s World Championship, as expansion teams including San Jose, Las Vegas and Detroit prepare for their inaugural seasons. Las Vegas announced a 29-player camp group and will host preseason scrimmages against Minnesota and Vancouver; Detroit’s roster includes signed players, draft picks and camp invites, with scrimmages scheduled against Ottawa and Hamilton. The league has not yet settled whether teams will retain a 23-player roster plus reserves or add full-time roster spots. Among the notable camp storylines, the Welcke twins will try out for different teams, while Swedish defender Anna Adolfsson is seeking another PWHL opportunity after playing in the SDHL.
