Quad Cities Coalition Launches Medicaid Coverage Initiative

In the Quad Cities, United Way and more than two dozen partners have launched Stay Covered, Stay Healthy to help Medicaid recipients and support agencies as they navigate program changes, including work requirements and exemptions. Delaware hospitals are also preparing for future Medicaid cuts as the state’s population grows, adding pressure to an already strained health care system. Separately, an analysis argues that expanding Medicaid managed care could help curb waste and fraud by addressing vulnerabilities in fee-for-service programs, which generally review claims after payment; recent federal enforcement actions have focused on services largely paid through that model.
