Quantum-Si demonstrates Proteus 19-amino-acid detection

Quantum-Si reported that its Proteus development program can now detect 19 amino acids, up from 18 in earlier interim results, and is working to incorporate the capability into a developmental sequencing kit for use on integrated Proteus instruments. The company said it is increasingly confident it can demonstrate detection of all 20 amino acids by the end of 2026. The advance is part of its effort to improve Proteus sequencing performance ahead of a planned commercial launch in the second quarter of 2027.
