Regional fall festivals, fairs expected this weekend

Local event roundups highlight seasonal festivals, performances and outdoor activities, though they cover different communities and weekends. In Winchester, offerings include a veterans-benefit car wash, Berkeley Springs’ Apple Butter Festival, farm activities, a flashlight corn maze and haunted attractions. Congleton’s listings feature the Goosfest finale with a Bee Gees tribute act, the closing performances of The Diary of Anne Frank and an autumn art exhibition. Macclesfield-area events include the Art Fair Cheshire, a choir concert, a traditional canal-painting course, a charity-supported Last Night of the Proms and a vintage market. Walker County’s schedule includes three high school homecomings, a 14-mile paddling race, the Indian Head Harvest Fest and a voter outreach rally; a separate Newport County preview notes marquee annual events for a long weekend but gives no specific examples in the supplied text.
