Roanoke Breaks Ground on $103.7M Hotel, Convention Center
Roanoke broke ground on the Cade Hotel, a Hilton Curio Collection property, and a new convention center at 600 S. Oak St., marking a major step in the city’s long-planned downtown development. The project is slated to include 205 hotel rooms, about 20,000 square feet of meeting space, a restaurant and other guest amenities, alongside a publicly owned convention center; the hotel will be privately operated. Funding includes a $62 million bond approved by voters in May 2025, as well as state tax rebates through Texas’s Qualified Hotel Project program. Construction is expected to take about 23 months.
