School Fires Coach After Snapchat Contact With Student

An assistant football coach at Westosha Central High School in Wisconsin was fired after school officials learned he had communicated with a female student through Snapchat. The district said it acted after investigating and determined the coach had violated district policy; he was not otherwise employed by the school. Kenosha County sheriff’s investigators interviewed the student and coach but found no criminal violation, and no charges were filed. The sheriff’s office said the district’s employment decision was separate from its criminal investigation.
