Senators hand Flyers fifth straight loss

Carter Yakemchuk scored the go-ahead power-play goal late in the third period to give Ottawa a 2-1 home win over Philadelphia. Nick Cousins also scored for the Senators, while Matvei Michkov had Philadelphia’s lone goal; Linus Ullmark made 29 saves, and the Flyers’ late push with an extra attacker came up short. The victory followed Ottawa’s first loss of the season, while Philadelphia extended its winless start to five games amid struggles on offense and special teams.
