Senior centers plan, hold elder celebrations

Senior centers and community groups are celebrating older adults through milestone events, awards and social gatherings. St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church Older Adult Center in Brooklyn plans a 25th-anniversary luncheon honoring longtime supporters and community leaders. In Allentown, Riverton Enhanced Senior Living recognized three residents aged 100 or older, while a Filipino seniors’ organization honored exemplary elders and grandchildren for their contributions to family and community life. The Saugus Senior Center also marked September birthdays with a gathering for 20 celebrants.
